Brian's View Master images inspired me to attempt to recreate the concept myself. I think I'll try again later with multiple objects in the fore/background, as it doesn't seem to have the same punch when you're just looking at a single object. But I think it's still kind of cool.
What do you think?

UPDATE:
Okay, it seems it's REAL easy to do stereoscopic 3D images in Photoshop. I found this tutorial, and a pair of red/blue 3D glasses, and created these:

The Joker one looks best, perhaps because of his coloration, and because the difference in views is a bit more subtle.
I approve of this technique! Do it more often!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure I could also do red/blue separation and make these viewable with 3D glasses, but that may take a little more experimentation.
ReplyDeleteIn the meantime, I will probably do more like these soon!
:)
Very nice 3D pics. Thanks for linking to my tutorial. I'm currently writing a tutorial for making 3D images using the Amber / Blue glasses like the ones they're now giving away for the Monsters Vs. Aliens commercial that will be on Superbowl. Hopefully I get it completed before this weekend.
ReplyDeleteKolomona, I look forward to your new tutorial - I guess I better grab some of those amber glasses too!
