I always loved Legos but have never been a fan of the "set" aspect - that you buy one box and can only build one specifically engineered thing. I like the free-for-all Lego approach, where you just start building, so this batch of mismatched Lego pieces is right up my alley.
I also love the Lego mini figures. In my opinion they are action figures, so it was awesome to find a bunch of Knights and Pirates in this batch, as well as Robin Hood himself!
Forsooth, foolish Knights! Thou wilst not take good Robin this day!
Thou are out of thine element, kingsmen!
I couldst kill thee with one swift shaft, but I shall not be so bold as to stabeth at thine backs!Yoiks, and away!
Did you hear sumpthin', gov?
Ha! Did thou thinkest the great Robin of Locksley would flee from a row?Take arms, good soldiers, and prepare to meet thy makers!
Wow you have a generous friend! Are you building a castle with the rest of the lego.
ReplyDeleteHell yeah, they're action figures!
ReplyDeleteMuchas gracias for the link!
Actually LEon, my current project is a Piratemobile! :D
ReplyDeleteNo problemo Reis, and muchas gracias to you too for all the kind mentions on your site(s) :)
Now we're talking... what a sweet score!
ReplyDeleteyou lucky, lucky dog!
ReplyDeletelast year, a co-worker told me the same thing, then she was unfortunately laid off a week later (before she could bring me the Lego).
I could not bring myself to ask her for the Lego when she had a lot more in her life to deal with.
Nostalgia note:
I have my old Lego and some of the original Lego mini-figs. The legs were a solid brick, as was the torso. The head was a standard mini-fig head with no face. It did have a "combination cover", though. The whole effect was of a silhouette from the sign on a restroom just for milkmen.
