Random Toy Pic :: C is for Cookie

That's good enough for me.

  1. YES! This is the Fisher Price one right? They were great toys, everything about that playset was great, Bert and Ernie, Mr Hooper, Oscar. The only thing I have left is buried in a box somewhere- the Sesame Street Sanitation Dept. truck. Shit, even the 'Sesame Street' lamp post with street sign on it rocked!

    I miss it so.

  2. Yup, Cookie Monster here is one from old Fisher-Price set. I stumbled onto him, Big Bird and Oscar at the flea market recently and got them for my baby! I'll post pics of all three of the figures soon!

  3. Nice! Did an ebay search, some of that stuff is pretty pricey now. There's some weird people on there that look like they're 'compatible' rather than official...

  4. Those are all official. From left to right (and totally from memory) they are:

    Snuffelupagus
    Franklin
    Grover
    Prairie Dawn
    Harry
    Sherlock Hemlock
    The Count

There were two Sesame Street themed sets as I recall, an apartment building and a clubhouse/playhouse type set.

  6. Thanks for the link, and the affirmation that my memory is still as sharp as ever!

Yeah, they are pricey and hard to come by - I think I have a decent Ernie somewhere too in my older daughter's stuff. I had so many hours of fun with these guys as a kid!

  7. It was a pretty big deal when I had the set as a kid. I don't think it was widely available here in the UK, and I'm certain that second wave never made it. We received it as a hand-me-down from some neighbours. I used to fill the rooftop area with water to make a swimming pool!
