Toyriffic :: State of the Site

Well folks, 2012 is one for the record books. And you know what that means, right? Yup, we never have to hear about the goddamned Mayans again.

2013 is here in full force, thumbing it's nose at giant stone calendars made by long dead civilizations and it's time to move forward to more important matters, like finally getting affordable flying cars for the masses.

So what can you expect from Toyriffic in 2013? Well, I'm loathe to make promises I can't keep, and sometimes life gets in the way like a fat lady with a big hat in a movie theatre, but I see my blog as a fun hobby and I still enjoy keeping it running after five whole years, so I don't think much will change in the grand scheme.

I'll continue on with Harley Qwednesday, Catwoman Purrrsday and Poisunday Ivy - those three weekly posts keep my blog active even if I don't get any new content up for a while, which I think is important. It also delights me when I get an email or message from someone saying 'I saw this Harley Quinn something-or-other and though of you!' If I have to be associated with something in people's minds, Harley Quinn is a pretty neat thing to be sure.

I'm certainly looking forward to a few specifics in 2013 that I will likely blog about: movies like Man of Steel and The Lone Ranger, books like Stephen King's Doctor Sleep, and many many TV shows, video games, comic books, and of course toys...

I'm sure TMNT have some great toy surprises in store for us this year, Lego is bound to take some of my money, Batman will dominate as always, and there are most assuredly going to be a few surprises and curve-balls old and new along the way. And I still have my birthday and Christmas loot to post, as well as tons of other things from years of collecting!

On a personal note I am a great many things; a father, a brother, a son, a spouse, a friend and an employee in addition to this internet phenom persona you all know and love, so I will continue to do the best in all of those roles that I can possibly do.

Thanks to everyone who reads, comments and sends along tidbits, info and tips. I could do this all without you, but it feels less insane when there's human interaction involved.

PS: in case you missed the original Harley Qwednesday post talking about it, that Harley Quinn 2013 calendar shown above is available as free download HERE!
