Harley Qwednesday :: Harley Quinn Cosplay by Kinju

Toyriffic reader 'Kinju' just sent me some wonderful pics and video links of her Harley Quinn cosplay (and a couple of her boyfriend as The Joker too!) so today we devote Harley Qwednesday to her!

Kinju says "My boyfriend knew absolutely nothing about Batman until we started dating last year and he really enjoyed the character as much as I enjoy being Harley!"

I'm glad you were able to educate the poor man, Kinju! His life is definitely more complete now that he knows about Batman!

"I choreographed a parody skit to "Do you wanna kill the Batman" during AnimeUSA 2014..."

"... and we won best in show! I sang the song and choreographed the steps for a broadway-esq look!"

"My one photographer also made a short for us!"

"Cosplay has been my life since 2005! I hand made both costumes and am very super proud of what they turned into!"

"I've been cosplaying Harley since Katsucon 2014! It only turned into something very special and more entertaining than I thought it would be!"

"She's a bundle of joy and I love making kids laugh and smile at my silliness during cons!"

Thanks a ton for the awesome pics and videos, Kinju!

See more of Kinju and her boyfriend at their RachniQueen Cosplay and  Legacy Cosplay Facebook pages!

Miss Kiss Harley Quinn Latex Cosplay :: Harley Qwednesday

It's been quite some time since we've had the pleasure of the incredible Miss Kiss gracing the illustrious halls of Harley Qwednesday, and she's just slightly perturbed by that fact...

But today she's back and more latex than ever today in this sweet shiny little number by Shhh! Couture with custom latex gloves by Jenni of Deadly Couture  and custom ruffles by August Wiled (One of Miss Kiss' Partners in Crime)

This photoset was taken by POW! Photography at Vancouver FanExpo 2015.

Miss Kiss looks criminally stunning in her latest Harley Quinn incarnation!

Long-time readers will remember Miss Kiss' first appearance here at Toyriffic with her 2012 photoshoot posing alongside the '66 Batmobile.

Has it really been three years since we first featured Miss Kiss on a Harley Qwednesday post?

Three years?!?! Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't appear to age at all!

Thanks again to Miss Kiss for gracing us with her Quinntastic presence once again! Canada is a warmer place with you around I'm sure.

Be sure to check out all those involved in the creation of this costume and photoshoot at the links above.

And Miss Kiss herself can be found at her Facebook Page. Go check her out!

Harley Quinn by Miramay Cosplay :: Harley Qwednesday

Get an eyeload of these awesome Harley Quinn cosplay pics from Miramay Cosplay!

And dig that MASSIVE mallet!

These pics were sent in by Miramay's boyfriend Charles, the cosplaying Joker to her cosplaying Harley!

Charles said 'My girlfriend does a fantastic Harley and I think she would really love to be surprised with a post on your blog.'

SURPRIIIISSSSE!!!!

Miramay makes a fantastic Harley Quinn indeed. Your Joker ain't half-bad either, Charles.

It ain't half good, but it ain't half bad!

HAW HAW HAW! (Just kidding Charles. Don't shoot!)

Charles also added that they met at a convention and '...both really love the characters but had never cosplayed them because so many do. We went way out of our way to build things we had never seen done, including her hammer, which is 4" around, 5" long, and 7" tall.'

These cosplay pics were taken at Magfest and Katsucon.

Charles and Miramay are from the DC area and according to Charles they are working on other related costumes.

I'm pretty sure the collaboration process looks exactly like the pic above!

Thanks to Charles for sending along these pics for today's Harley Qwednesday.

And be sure to check out more of Miramay at her Facebook page.

Bombshell Batwoman Cosplay by Lisa Lou Who

We've previously seen the incredible Lisa Lou Who here at Toyriffic cosplaying as Ballerina Harley Quinn.
Today we throw our peepers at Ms. Who all dolled up as 'Bombshell Batwoman':

Rarely is a cosplayer able to surpass the source material so absolutely...

I've literally looked at this picture a hundred times, and only just now realized that even the bat matches the source illustration. I suppose I should give myself some credit for even noticing that there was a bat in the picture to begin with.

Be sure to check out more of Lisa's incredible cosplay over at her Facebook page.

2014 San Diego Comic Con :: Cosplay Part 1

As expected, there was so much wonderful cosplay at SDCC 2014. I was able to get quite a few pictures - So many, I'm splitting them all into two posts! Enjoy Part 1, and tune in tomorrow for Part 2!

And as always, if you know who any of these folks are, or if they are you and you want links/credit etc, just leave me a comment and I'll be glad to oblige.

1966 Batman TV Series Yvonne Craig Batgirl.

Comic Book Batgirl.

I was lucky enough to run into two old High School friends at Comic Con this year! Small world. Here's my friend and The Doctor, Tardis (yes, that girl cosplayed as THE WHOLE TARDIS!) and Amy Pond.

Evel Kenevel Boba Fett.
Anna from Frozen. I took this picture to show my intern, who was very impressed that I met Anna!

Hawkgirl.

He-Man and She-Ra.

Lady Deadpool. She was on her phone, which actually makes any picture of Lady Deadpool that much cooler.

Michonne, and my other High School friend and myself being all zombie-like.

Pin-up Batgirl.

Poison Ivy.

Power Girl.

Tune in tomorrow for more cosplay in Part 2!
