AEIOU and Sometimes Why and I made a trade, and one of the things I got from him is the
Playmobil Maleficent (unofficial)
Fi?ure from Series 6!
She's a fun evil witch/sorceress regardless of what the Disney lawyers say!
As is sometimes the case, Playmobil has given Maleficent (not her real name) an official Playmobil basic face and a...well...a face only someone who payed $20 to a streetwalker could love. GAH! It's terrible. But fortunately for all of us Maleficent(not Maleficent)'s standard Playmobil face is sufficient to get the point across as to who this figure is supposed to be/inspired by (totally NOT Maleficent!)

DeleteI just got her a couple weeks ago at my local grocery store. They have had Series 7 out forever, but then suddenly all these missing boxes of Series 6 appeared discounted to 99 cents. Its was awesome. I'm going to do a review of a bunch of my witchy Playmobils for Halloween.

ReplyDeleteI've been waiting since March to find Series 8 of these, but the toy store I frequent hadn't recieved their order for the longest time (I still don't know if they have), and they seem to have a bottomless box of Series 7 figures to sell. Perhaps someday...
Series 9 has two more ripoffs. A blonde ice princess (It's not Elsa! I swear!) and a red/black cat-masked hero with a cat. (DC'll never catch on, guys...) I wonder when they'll eventually make a blonde-pigtailed female jester with a carnival mallet.
Yeah I'm really jonesing for that Cat(not)Woman! My area is really poor for finding these, they show up randomly and in willy-nilly order (Series fsix, then series four, no series five etc) so I will probably have to lean on others to find them for me.

Oh, just forgot to mention that I swapped her staff with the Series 4 Wizard's. since the colors match each others' ensembles better.
